§ 33.28 AUTHORIZED WEAPONS.
   (A)   Those weapons authorized by the prosecutors, Town Marshal, and the town as permitted by law and meeting state requirements. A list of said weapons shall be on record with the Clerk-Treasurer, and the list shall be updated once a year by the Town Marshal.
   (B)   Ammunition.
      (1)   The following lists reflects ammunition currently authorized for use by the Town Marshal and authorized deputies:
         (a)   Jacketed/semi-jacketed/bal/hi- velocity/hi-expansion rounds are authorized for hand guns;
         (b)   #0/#00/#4 shot are authorized for shot guns;
      (2)   Each officer will be required to qualify with all weapons a minimum of three times a year.
      (3)   All officers must use with .223 caliber ammo. (5.56) for patrol rifle.
      (4)   All ammunition for weapons that is excess will be stored by locking said ammunition in the evidence locker;
      (5)   Town owned weapons will not be used for private (non-Department related) use of an individual officer. This also includes ammunition;
      (6)   All officers are to qualify with any weapon they carry on or off duty.
      (7)   Any officers on the Police Department violating any of these provisions is subject to Department discipline action.
