(A) Pursuit conditions may be terminated upon the authority of the pursuing officer or the Town Marshal, Hancock/Henry County Sheriff Department or Indiana State Police.
(B) The only unit remaining at the termination point should be the initial pursuing officer, last pursuing officer and anyone ordered by the
Communication Center of the Hancock or Henry County Sheriff’s Department to participate in the pursuit.
(C) The officer of the initial pursuit vehicle is responsible for the arrest of the suspect when the suspect voluntarily terminates the pursuit, is involved in a traffic accident or forced to stop by other means.
(1) The primary unit is responsible for preparation of all necessary reports.
(2) The primary unit shall make its report to the prosecutor or the Shirley Town Marshal.
