§ 33.24 SILENT RUNS.
   (A)   SILENT RUN is defined as operating under emergency conditions utilizing red and blue lights but no audible signal.
   (B)   Silent runs are authorized for the following:
      (1)   Robberies in progress;
      (2)   Burglaries in progress;
      (3)   Situations when the officer’s discretion determines the need for red and blue lights only, no siren.
   (C)   When using red lights only, the officer shall:
      (1)   Obey all traffic laws;
      (2)   Stop at all stop signs and traffic signals, proceeding only when the way is clear;
      (3)   Operate with extreme caution and at reasonable speed so as not to endanger a life and/or the property of others.
