§ 30.28 MAJORITY VOTE; TWO-THIRDS VOTE.
   (A)   General.
      (1)   A requirement that an ordinance, resolution or other action of the Town Council be passed by a majority vote means at least a majority vote of all the elected members.
      (2)   A requirement that an ordinance, resolution or other action of the Town Council be
passed by a two-thirds vote means at least a two-thirds vote of all the elected members.

   (B)   Majority vote to pass ordinance. A majority vote of the legislative body is required to pass an ordinance, unless a greater vote is required by statute. (I.C. 36-5-2-9.6) (`95 Code, § 22.12)
   (C)   Two-thirds vote with unanimous consent of members present.
      (1)   A two-thirds vote, with unanimous consent of the members present, is required to pass an ordinance of the legislative body on the same day or at the same meeting at which it is introduced.
      (2)   Subsection (1) does not apply to a zoning ordinance or amendment to a zoning ordinance that is adopted under I.C. 36-7.
