(A) The Town Council shall hold regular meetings once a month at the Shirley Town Hall. The time and dates of the regular Town Council meetings shall be at the Town Council’s discretion.
(1) The regular session of the Town Council may be continued from day to day upon majority vote of the Town Council and shall be adjourned from day to day, according to the necessities of the occasion.
(2) If the Town Council meets on consecutive days, meetings shall be held in compliance with this rule. Meetings of the Town Council may be adjourned to a day not consecutive
with the date of the last meeting and shall be in regular session, upon a proper motion and vote to that effect.
(B) Special meetings may be called by the Town Council if the public interest requires. At least ten days notice of the special meeting will be given unless the meeting is called to deal with an emergency. The notice must include a specific statement of the purpose of the meeting, and the Town Council may not conduct any unrelated business at the meeting.
