§ 93.10 REGULATIONS AS TO CHICKENS.
   (A)   No person shall keep or harbor more than six chickens if the property is less than one acre and no more than 12 chickens if the property is over one acre;
   (B)   Chickens shall be kept in a covered outside enclosure coop;
   (C)   Chickens shall not be permitted to run at large within the village;
   (D)   Chickens may be allowed outside in a fenced rear yard area between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. under owners' supervision only;
   (E)   There shall be no slaughtering of any poultry;
   (F)   An outdoor shelter shall be located in the rear yard of a lot and not closer than ten feet of each side yard lot line and no closer than ten feet from any rear yard lot line;
   (G)   The interior of any shelter and the rear yard are to be maintained in a sanitary condition;
   (H)   All coops shall be designed and constructed with adequate ventilation that allows the coop to be cleaned easily;
   (I)   Maximum roof height shall not exceed four feet. Total square footage of a coop not to exceed 20 square feet total;
   (J)   An applicant must reside in a single-family home;
   (K)   Any person found to be in violation of this ordinance shall be fined per Chapter 34, § 34.02.
   (L)   No person shall keep or harbor any rooster.
