§ 32.45 DUTIES OF CHIEF OF POLICE.
   The Chief of Police of the municipality shall have the following powers and duties in addition to those set forth in § 32.44:
   (A)   Aid municipal officers in the execution of their official duties upon request;
   (B)   Shall monthly report to the Board of Trustees on the state of the Police Department and from time to time as may be required by the Board of Police Commissioners;
   (C)   Be in command of all municipal police officers, and shall see that the discipline and conduct of every policeman conforms to the policies, directives, special orders, rules and regulations of the Department;
   (D)   Be responsible for the care, maintenance and use of all vehicles and equipment for the Department;
   (E)   Have charge of all persons held and shall be responsible for conveying prisoners from the County Jail to other facilities; and
   (F)   Shall direct the administration and operation of the Police Department and in addition to policies transmitted by the Mayor, shall establish such other policies, directives, special orders, rules and regulations for the administration and operation of the Department as he or she sees fit. The Chief shall notify the Mayor and the Board of Police Commissioners concerning all policies, directives, special orders, rules and regulations for the administration and operation of the Department. The directives, special orders, rules and regulations shall remain in full force and effect unless otherwise directed by the Mayor or Board of Trustees.
