§ 32.42 APPOINTMENTS.
   (A)   (1)   The Village Chief of Police is a salaried exempt position.
      (2)   He or she shall receive a salary as provided for by ordinance.
      (3)   (a)   The Village Chief of Police shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Village Board.
         (b)   The Village Chief of Police shall be removed from office in accordance with ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 10-2.1-4.
   (B)   (1)   The Deputy Chief Position shall be a salaried exempt position immediately below the Chief of Police.
      (2)   He or she shall receive a salary as provided for by ordinance.
      (3)   The Deputy Chief shall be appointed by the Chief of Police in accordance with ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 10-2.1-4.
