§ 31.03 BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
   (A)   The members of the Board of Trustees shall be elected and serve for four-year terms as is provided by statute (beginning with the first regular meeting after receipt of the canvassing results.) The Board shall be the legislative division of the village government and shall perform such duties and have such powers as may be authorized by the Illinois Compiled Statutes.
   (B)   The Trustees of the village shall faithfully perform their duties as Trustees and as such members of the committee to which they are appointed, and otherwise so fulfill their duties that the corporate affairs of the village may be faithfully and efficiently administered. For their services as Trustees, members of the Board shall be compensated as provided by ordinance.
   (C)   Duties and responsibilities of the Village Board of Trustees related to the administration and enforcement of the Development Code shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
      (1)   To make a decision on all applications for special and temporary use permits, amendments, appeals and variances at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting following submittal of an advisory report by the Village Planning Commission;
      (2)   To make a decision on all applications for preliminary and final plat review within a reasonable time after a review and the application have been transmitted by the Village Planning Commission to the Village Board of Trustees;
      (3)   To make a decision on the acceptance and extension of assurances;
      (4)   To make a decision on the acceptance of improvements made by subdivider for dedication; and
      (5)   To perform such other duties as prescribed by the Development Code or the Village Board of Trustees itself.
