(A) The Village President, or Mayor, as he or she may be referred to as, shall be the chief executive officer of the village, shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Trustees, shall when authorized, execute in behalf of the village, all of its contracts and obligations, shall enforce all ordinances of the village, and shall fulfill all duties of his or her office as prescribed by law. He or she shall receive a salary as provided for by ordinance.
(B) The Mayor shall he elected and serve a four-year term as is provided by statute.
