If the owner fails to pay the invoice or file a written appeal within ten calendar days or fails to pay the invoice within ten calendar days of the Town Council’s determination not to rescind the notice of violation, the Town Clerk-Treasurer shall certify to the Hamilton County Auditor the amount incurred by the town to abate the violation, including the administrative costs associated with abating the violation (“certified amount”). The Auditor shall place the certified amount on the tax duplicate against such real property and the amount shall be collected as taxes are generally collect and when collected shall be disbursed to the town for deposit in the General Fund.
