(A) The Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized to establish petty cash funds for the efficient day to day operation of the Clerk and other town department operations.
(B) The funds to be created shall be:
(1) Water Department Petty Cash Fund, not to exceed $40.
(2) Wastewater Department Petty Cash Fund, not to exceed $40.
(3) Clerk-Treasurer Petty Cash Fund, not to exceed $100.
(C) The Clerk-Treasurer shall be responsible for the accounting of all funds deposited and utilized from said accounts. All cash in excess of the stated amounts shall be deposited into the General Fund. Any funds necessary to initiate and maintain these accounts shall come from the General Fund. The Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized to transfer amounts between funds to maintain their viability for their intended use.
