(A) Police reserve officers may not be members of the regular Police Department but have all of the same police powers as regular members, except as limited by the rules of the Department, in accordance with IC 36-8-3-20, as amended.
(B) Police reserve officers must follow all Department rules and regulations, policies and standard operating procedures.
(C) The number of officers in the reserve program shall not exceed 11, unless Council determines during the annual budget process that more are needed.
(D) Officers in the reserve program shall be appointed by the Chief of Police with final approval by the Sheridan Metropolitan Police Commission.
(E) Officers in the reserve program shall be known as the Town of Sheridan reserve police officers.
