1. The sale prices of burial lots (locations) in the following sections of the cemetery are as follows:
A. Babyland Burial Location $ 100.00
B. Regular Burial Location $ 400.00
2. Prices for grave openings in the following sections of the cemetery are as follows:
A. Babyland $ 125.00
B. Cremation $ 250.00
C. All other grave openings $ 450.00
3. Weekend or Holiday Burials will be an additional $200.00. Holidays are defined as the holidays recognized in the City’s employee personnel manual.
4. The basic charge for any grave opening outside of East Lawn Cemetery done by City employees using City equipment is $450.00. Each cemetery will sign a hold harmless agreement indemnifying the City against all claims for damages or injury to persons or property.
5. The City will purchase any cemetery gravesite in the cemetery from its lawful owners at the rate of $50.00 per gravesite. A higher rate may be allowed up to the price of a regular burial location upon approval by the Sheldon Cemetery Board.
6. The fee for disinterment is $900.00 for a regular burial location, and $450.00 for Babyland or cremations. In the event there are multiple burials in one gravesite, there shall be charged two fees, even if two disinterments are not being sought. Disinterment is weather dependent and is to only occur on weekdays between May 1 and October 1. Exceptions to the timeframe or the rest of this section may be considered by the Public Works Director or the Cemetery Board.
7. Transfer of deeds shall cost $50.00.
8. Certified copies of lost deeds shall cost $25.00.
