(A) The Triple S Planning Commission shall consist of seven (7) members. The Judge of the County of Shelby and the Mayor of the City of Shelbyville and the Chairman of the Town Board of Simpsonville, with the approval of their respective legislative bodies shall appoint (two-thirds (2/3) or more of total) members to be known as citizen-members. The oath of office shall be administered to all members of the Commission before entering upon their duties and shall be administered as provided by law.
(B) The term of office of citizen-members shall be four (4) years, except the original terms shall be staggered so a proportionate number serve one (1), two (2), three (3), and four (4) years respectively. Reappointments or appointments to fill vacancies shall be made in order to continue the staggered pattern.
