§ 72.999 PENALTY
   (A)   Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation and shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00), nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense. Each day's violation shall constitute a separate offense.
   (B)   If a landmark or a building or structure in a historic district or on a landmark site is demolished without the owner applying for approval from the Commission or without the Commission giving permission for the demolition, the Commission shall promptly meet with the owner or his representative to develop an appropriate remedy for this violation of this chapter. An appropriate remedy may include the rebuilding of the demolished building or structure and/or the use of sufficient landscaping to lessen the damage done by the unauthorized demolition. No approvals for the use of the property shall be given until the Commission has issued a certificate of appropriateness.
