(A) Any pawnbroker or agent of any pawnbroker who violates any provisions of Article I shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) and his license may be forfeited.

(B) Except as provided in subsection (A), any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00).
