§ 66.301 TEMPORARY SALES OF MOTOR VEHICLES.
   (A)   Except as provided in this section, no sale of motor vehicles by a licensed motor vehicle dealer shall be permitted in the city other than sales at the dealer's permanent place of business.
   (B)   Notwithstanding division (A), a licensed motor vehicle dealer with a permanent location for the sale of motor vehicles within the city may, upon the grant of a permit by the Mayor or his/her designee, conduct a temporary sale or display of motor vehicles within the city.
   (C)   In order to obtain a permit for the sale of motor vehicles within the city, a licensed motor vehicle dealer must present verified proof to the city that the sale of motor vehicles of said dealer's permanent location in the city will be or has been interrupted due to fire, flood, repairs or construction occurring at the dealer's permanent location.
   (D)   The application for the permit described herein shall state, in addition to such information required of the City of Shelbyville, the address, date(s) and hours of the temporary sale.
   (E)   No motor vehicle dealer shall be granted more than one temporary sale permit from the city in any twelve (12) month period and no temporary sale permit shall authorize a temporary sale more than thirty (30) days in length provided however, that an additional permit may be granted or a temporary sale extended upon approval of the Mayor or his/her designee upon showing of extreme hardship.
