(A) The following spaces are designated for motor vehicles which are being operated by or for the benefit of disabled persons and display an auto registration plate as provided in KRS 186.042, an out-of-state disabled registration plate, a disabled parking permit issued by any veterans' administration hospital or a special parking permit issued to a disabled person as prescribed in KRS 189.456.
