§ 70.22 ONE-WAY SIGNS.
   (A)   Whenever any provision of this Traffic Code or a city ordinance designates any one-way street or alley, the Traffic Safety Officer shall place and maintain signs giving notice thereof, and no regulation shall be effective unless these signs are in place. Signs indicating the direction of lawful traffic movement shall be placed in every intersection where movement of traffic in the opposite direction is prohibited.
   (B)   The Traffic Safety Officer is authorized to determine and designate streets, parts of streets, or specific lanes upon which vehicular traffic shall proceed in one direction during one period and the necessary markings, signs, barriers, or other devices to give notice thereof.
      (1)   The Traffic Safety Officer may erect signs temporarily designating lanes to be used by traffic moving in a particular direction, regardless of the center line of the roadway.
      (2)   It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any vehicle in violation of the markings, signs, barriers, or other devices placed in accordance with this section.
