(A) The city shall, within five days after the receipt of the formal report of the mediator, establish final negotiation meetings with the exclusive representative for a final effort to resolve the issues. Facts, evidence, and recommendations of the mediator shall be considered at these negotiations.
(B) Any agreements negotiated between the bargaining unit and the city either before, or within 30 days after mediation, shall constitute the collective bargaining contract with respect to the fire fighters and the city for the period stated therein; provided however, that such period shall not exceed the term of the Mayor plus one year.
