§ 35.010 DUTIES OF EMPLOYEES.
   (A)   Responsibilities. City employees shall have the following responsibilities.
      (1)   All employees shall report to work on time, and properly notify superiors in case of an absence.
      (2)   All employees shall perform duties in a manner which contributes to the efficiency of public operations and the improvement of services to the public.
      (3)   All employees shall consult with the department head when outside employment is contemplated.
      (4)   Employees shall promptly perform all orders of department heads and supervisors.
      (5)   All employees will attire themselves in a manner that is conducive to their work and which will not jeopardize the safety of themselves and other employees. Furthermore, the attire should not bring embarrassment to the employee, fellow employees, or the city.
      (6)   All employees receiving uniforms are required to wear the uniforms while on duty.
   (B)   Restricted activities. No employee of the city shall engage in the following activities.
      (1)   Obtain permanent status or participate in fringe benefits on more than one position.
      (2)   Receive pay increases unless by reason of promotion from one job to another, or without promotion but within the pay range from minimum to maximum for work in that job category.
      (3)   Hold outside employment which interferes with city employment duties, either in terms of conflict of interest or in physical capabilities.
      (4)   Loaf, loiter, or engage in unauthorized visiting during working hours when there is work to do.
      (5)   Knowingly make false statements about himself or herself in his or her employee record or falsely make any city record or report.
      (6)   Receive or accept any substantial gift, favor, or other accommodations from a supplier, contractor, or anyone doing business with the city.
