§ 34.01 HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
   (A)   Designation. The County Health Department is designated as the Health Department of the city, and shall perform those duties of inspection and reports necessary for the full enforcement of all health ordinances of the city, and the lawful orders of the state and the Board of Health.
   (B)   Health Officer; assistants.
      (1)   The City Health Officer, sanitary inspectors, and other assistants of the Health Officer shall be diligent in the enforcement of the provisions of this code and other ordinances relating to health, and in doing what is reasonable and necessary for the protection and preservation of the public health.
      (2)   They shall study the state health laws and health rules of the State Board of Health, and be active in enforcing them.
      (3)   The vital statistics shall be carefully collected, duly recorded, and reported by the City Health Officer.
      (4)   The Health Officer shall make a monthly report to the Mayor and City Council of all
health work done, with any recommendations which seem proper to him or her.
   (C)   Enforcement of health regulations. It shall be the duty of the police and they shall have authority at all times, to aid the Board of Health in the work of enforcing the health regulations of this code and other ordinances of the city, upon the demand of the Board of Health.
