(A) There is a corporate seal for the city described as follows.
(1) The seal shall consist of a device with two concentric circles, the outer circle being 13/4 inches in diameter and the inner being 11/4 inches in diameter, with two five-pointed stars and the words “City of Shelbyville, Indiana,” appearing between the circles, and the words “Corporate Seal” appearing within the inner circle.
(2) The words and device must be able to be clearly imprinted, stamped, and affixed in any instruments or writing needing authentication by the proper legal officers of the city.
(B) The corporate seal of the city shall be kept by the Clerk-Treasurer in his or her office, under his or her custody, possession, and control, and shall be imprinted, stamped, and affixed to all instruments or writings needing authentication by the proper legal officers of the city.
