Old house sewers and drains may be used in connection with new buildings or new plumbing only when they are found, on examination by the Maintenance Supervisor, to conform in all respects to the requirements governing new sewers and drains. If the old work is found defective or otherwise unsatisfactory, he or she shall notify the owner to make the necessary changes to conform with the provisions of this code of ordinances.
