The village shall hold harmless all village employees and agents when acting in good faith and without malice, from all personal liability for any damage that may accrue to any person or property as a result of any act required or authorized by Chapters 51, 52, and 53 of this code of ordinances, or by reason of any act of omission of any village employee or agent in the discharge of his or her duties thereunder. Any suit brought carrying out the provisions of this Title V shall be defended by the Village Attorney, or by the village’s insurance carrier, if any, through final determination of such proceedings.
