2-2-6: POWERS; DUTIES:
To effectuate the purpose of this chapter, the board shall have the power and duty to:
   A.   Administration: Exercise general supervision of and make regulations for the administration of the affairs of the board;
   B.   Investigative And Hearing Rules: Prescribe uniform rules pertaining to investigations and hearings;
   C.   Fiscal Affairs: Supervise the fiscal affairs and responsibilities of the board;
   D.   Employees: Prescribe the qualification of, appoint, remove and fix the compensation of the employees of the board, and delegate to employees authority to perform administrative acts in all cases except where final action of the board is necessary;
   E.   Records: Keep an accurate and complete record of all board proceedings, record and file all bonds and contracts and assume responsibility for the custody and preservation of all papers and documents of the board;
   F.   Recommendations; Annual Report: Make recommendations and an annual report to the city council concerning the operation of the board and the status of planning within its jurisdiction;
   G.   Reports; Proposed Ordinances And Proposed Resolutions: Prepare, publish and distribute reports, proposed ordinances and proposed resolutions and other material relating to the activities authorized under this chapter;
   H.   Annual Budget: Prepare and submit to the city council an annual budget in the same manner as other departments of the city, and shall be limited in all expenditures to the provisions made therefor by the city council. (1975 Code § 2.20.140)
   I.   Additional Powers: The city-county planning board shall possess and have all additional powers and authority granted by the provisions of Montana Code Annotated, title 76, chapter 1, and shall perform all duties required thereunder. (1975 Code § 2.20.200; amd. 2008 Code)
