1521.02 FAILURE TO COMPLY.
   In addition to all other provisions of and penalties provided for in this chapter should the owner of any building or structure as set forth in this chapter fail, upon receiving notification of the dangerous condition of a building or structure as set forth herein, to immediately cause there to be established and placed around the damaged building and/or structure and/or premises on which said building or structure is located, sufficient barricades and/or warning lights and/or other protective devices and fail to cause said building or structure to be boarded and enclosed in a manner and of a type and kind satisfactory to the Fire Chief or Service Director, the City, may at its option cause such building or structure to be made secure and/or boarded up and enclosed with the cost of such securing and/or boarding up to be assessed against the property on which the vacant structure or building is located and to be paid by the owner. In addition to any other remedies available to the City, the City may cause the cost of such securing and/or boarding up to be turned over to the Treasurer of Lorain County, Ohio, and the Auditor of Lorain County, Ohio, for certification and assessment as a lien against the real estate and shall cause the cost to be certified on the tax duplicate against the real estate.
