(a) No person shall discharge any air gun, zip-gun, rifle, shotgun, revolver, handgun, pistol, firearm, or other deadly weapon capable of expelling or propelling one or more projectiles by the action of an explosive or combustive propellant within the corporate limits of the Municipality.
(b) This section does not apply when firearms are discharged: in self-defense; in the scope of official police duty; in a military salute by a duly authorized person; by military personnel acting under official military authorization; or when otherwise lawfully authorized.
(c) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. If the offender has been convicted previously of Discharging Firearms, or any other similar offense, then Discharging Firearms is a misdemeanor of the first degree.
