A. The board of trustees shall consist of five (5) members, nominated and elected at large without regard to their place of residence within the town limits. Trustees shall be actual residents and registered voters of the town.
B. The term of office for a trustee shall be four (4) years beginning at twelve o'clock (12:00) noon on the second Monday following the general municipal election. The trustee shall serve until his successor is elected and qualified. The terms of the trustees shall be staggered so that at one general municipal election, the following trustees are elected for four (4) year terms:
1. Trustees from one, three (3), and five (5); and
2. Clerk-treasurer.
At the next general municipal election, the following officers are to be elected for four (4) year terms:
1. Trustees two (2) and four (4). (1985 Code)
