§ 36.04  TOWN CLERK TO SUPERVISE INSPECTION OF PUBLIC RECORDS.
   (A)   Any examination of the public records of the town must be done under the supervision of the Town Clerk, who has the legal responsibility for the safekeeping as custodian of the records.
   (B)   If there is reason to fear defacement or other damage to the records or if the Town Clerk is not in a position to supervise the inspection at that moment, he or she may delay the inspections until the dangers are removed or supervision is possible.
   (C)   Access to records may be limited by the Town Clerk to prevent undue interference with the normal working conditions until the possibility of interference is removed.
   (D)   An individual inspection shall be limited to one hour per day if the Town Clerk has other duties to perform and is unable to supervise the inspection.
