§ 35.05 RESTRICTIONS ON THE EMPLOYMENT OF IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS.

   Employment by the Town of Sharpsburg of more than one member of the same family is governed by this administrative section.

   (A)   Definition of immediate family member.IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER is defined as:

      (1)   Spouse;

      (2)   Mother;

      (3)   Father;

      (4)   Mother-in-law;

      (5)   Father-in-law;

      (6)   Child or stepchild;

      (7)   Brother or stepbrother;

      (8)   Sister or stepsister;

      (9)   Daughter-in-law or son-in-law;

      (10)   Grandparents;

      (11)   Grandchildren;

      (12)   Any persons, not related by blood or marriage, living in the same household as a family unit; or

      (13)   Legally appointed guardian.

   (B)   Restriction on employment of immediate family members. No immediate family member shall be employed, assigned to or placed in a position of employment with the Town of Sharpsburg:

      (1)   If the employee will be under the supervision, direct or indirect, of an immediate family member as defined in division (A) of this section: or

      (2)   If the employee’s job performance evaluation or work performance review is subject to determination by an immediate family member as defined in division (A) of this section.
