(A) It shall be unlawful for any person to have in his or her immediate possession and control any guns, pistols, rifles, knives, bowie knife, dirk, dagger, slingshot, loaded cane, brass iron or metallic weapon of like kind while under the influence of intoxicating drinks or on the premises of a church, polling place or other public building or facility in the town.
(B) The provisions of this section shall apply within the town limits and within one mile thereof.
