§ 91.44  REDEMPTION BY OWNER OR KEEPER GENERALLY.
   (A)   The owner or keeper of an animal impounded under this subchapter may redeem the animal and regain possession thereof within 72 hours after notice of impoundment is posted as required by this subchapter by complying with all applicable provisions of this subchapter and paying any applicable fees as determined by the Nash County Board of Health.
   (B)   No animal owner or keeper may be permitted to adopt his or her own animal under the provisions of this subchapter, but he or she must comply with the provisions of this subchapter in order to reclaim an animal that has been impounded pursuant to state law or this subchapter.
   (C)   The provisions of this section shall have no application with respect to animals surrendered by the owner or keeper to the County Health Department for immediate adoption or destruction as provided for in § 91.47.
