§ 91.28  CONFINEMENT, MUZZLING AND CONTROL OF VICIOUS OR DANGEROUS DOMESTIC ANIMALS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any vicious, fierce or dangerous domestic animal within Nash County unless it is confined within a secure building or enclosure or it is securely muzzled and under restraint by means of a leash, chain or rope and firmly under control at all times.
   (B)   (1)   Any vicious/public nuisance animal without any recognizable identification may be destroyed after the animal control officer has been unsuccessful in his or her attempt to catch, trap or tranquilize (within a closed area) the animal.
      (2)   Any dog or cat left at the animal shelter may be impounded or euthanized at the discretion of the animal control officer.
