(A) No more than three dogs more than five months of age shall be owned, possessed, kept, harbored, or maintained at any premises located on a single-family, residential lot of 30,000 square feet or less.
(B) No more than two dogs more than five months of age shall be owned, possessed, kept, harbored, or maintained at any premises located in a multi-family residential development.
(C) In any area in which the applicable zoning regulations are more restrictive as to the keeping of dogs than the requirements of this section, the zoning regulations shall control.
(D) This section shall not be construed to limit the right of any landlord to impose more restrictive limits on the number of pets which may be possessed at any leased premises.
(E) All dogs which have been listed with the Nash, Edgecombe, or Wilson County Tax Administrator for an annual county privilege license for the calendar year by the date this revised chapter becomes effective shall be exempt from this section.
