§ 53.06  INSTALLATION OF SERVICE LINE; EXAMINATION BY PLUMBING INSPECTOR.
   (A)  (1)   The town shall run a service line for water from its water main to the property line where the water main runs immediately adjacent and parallel to the property to be served and for which a tappage or connection fee for each size tap will be charged, together with any line charges or other charges as may be required by this chapter.
      (2)   This shall be done only after the application has been filed and all fees and charges paid.
      (3)   The town shall not be responsible for stoppages which occur in the water tap from the water main in the street to the building.
      (4)   The stoppage repair shall be performed by licensed plumbers only at the expense of the owner or occupant.
   (B)   It shall be the responsibility of the Plumbing Inspector to examine and inspect the installation of the service line between the street right-of-way and the building.  This examination shall be made during the installation and prior to covering the ditch to ascertain that proper materials have been used and proper construction practices followed.
