(a) Savings Clause. Nothing in this chapter or in the BOCA Basic Mechanical Code herein adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding now pending in any court, or any rights acquired or liability incurred, or any cause of action accrued or existing, under any act or ordinance hereby repealed. No right or remedy of any character shall be lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.
(b) Conflict of Laws. Any ordinance or part of an ordinance, except as otherwise herein provided, conflicting with any provision of this chapter, is hereby repealed insofar as the same affects this chapter.
