(a) Title. This chapter shall be known as the Sharon Plumbing Code and may be so cited.
(b) Scope. The provisions of this chapter shall apply to and govern plumbing, as defined in the BOCA Basic Plumbing Code, 1975 edition, published by Building Officials and Code Administrators, International, Inc. , including the practice, materials and fixtures used in the installation, maintenance, extension and alteration of all piping, fixtures, appliances and appurtenances in connection with any of the following: sanitary drainage or storm drainage facilities; the venting system; and the public or private water supply system, within or adjacent to any building or other structure or conveyance; and also including the practice and materials used in the installation, maintenance, extension or alteration of the storm water or sewerage system of any premises to its connection with any point of public disposal or other terminal; save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended.
