1422.05 RENEWAL.
   (a)   At the expiration of each calendar year the certificate or license required by this chapter shall be null and void. A licensed master craftsman or contractor desiring to continue in, or work at, the business of contracting, plumbing, heating or electrical work, for the ensuing year, shall, between December 1 and December 31 of each and every year, surrender the certificate or license to the Code Enforcement Officer who certified it, and re-register his name and business or home address, upon such form as may, from time to time, be furnished by the Office of Code Enforcement.
   (b)   A register of all such applicants and the licenses or certificates issued shall be kept in the Code Enforcement Office, which register shall be open to the inspection of all persons interested therein. Any person holding a license or certificate granted by the City to engage in or work at the business of a contractor or master craftsman desiring to do this type of work in the City shall, without examination, be registered before entering upon such work. However, such registration shall be restricted and limited to such work as he contracted for at the time of registry. On the completion of such contract, the registration of such person shall be null and void, and no further permit shall be issued to such person until he first registers his name as hereinbefore provided.
   The construction of all work in the City shall be conducted only under and in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1420 and with the latest editions of the Codes adopted in this Part Fourteen - Building and Housing Code.
