1420.07 SAVINGS CLAUSE; CONFLICTS; CODE REVISIONS.
   (a)   Savings Clause. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding now pending in any court, or any action required or liability incurred, or any cause of action accrued or existing, under any act or ordinance repealed hereby. No right or remedy of any character shall be lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.
   (b)   Conflict of Laws. In any case where provisions of this chapter are found to be in conflict with a provision of any zoning, building, fire, safety, plumbing, mechanical, electrical or health ordinance or code of the City existing on the effective date of this chapter, the provision which establishes a higher standard for promotion and protection of the health and safety of the people shall prevail. In any case, where a provision of this chapter is found to be in conflict with a provision of any other ordinance or code of the City existing on the effective date of this chapter, which establishes a lower standard for the promotion and protection of the people, the provisions of this chapter shall prevail, and such other ordinance or code is hereby declared to be repealed to the extent that it may be found in conflict with this chapter.

   (c)   Code Revisions. All national codes, for which periodic updates or revisions are issued, shall become immediately, and without further action by Council, effective as if fully set forth in the original enabling ordinance, upon receipt by the Office of Code Enforcement of such revisions, amendments or additions, provided, however, that all other provisions of the enabling ordinances are complied with, with regard to public accessibility, notice and the like.
