In accordance with Section 411 of the Library Code, Council shall appoint seven people to serve as the City's representatives on the Board of Directors of the Sharon Free Public Library, each representative to serve three years, the terms to expire in different years. The first appointees shall be appointed for terms as follows: Two members for one year; two members for two years; and three members for three years. Subsequent vacancies are to be filled by Council. All members shall serve until their successors have been appointed. No member of the Board shall receive any salary for his or her service as such. The Board shall elect its own officers. No less than two members of the Board of Directors shall be members of Council.
