This chapter shall be administered by the City Manager; the Manager may delegate administration functions and inspection functions as he or she deems appropriate. In general permit issuance shall be handled by the Code Department and inspections completed by the City of Sharon Department of Public Works.
(a) The Manager shall designate an inspector to enforce the provisions of this chapter in accordance with its literal terms and shall not have the power to permit any construction which does not conform to this chapter.
(b) The Code Department will administer permits and shall issue street excavation permits and right-of-way occupancy permits after they are approved by the Manager.
(c) The Inspector shall perform all necessary inspections and recommend to the City any enforcement proceedings which are necessary to insure compliance with the provisions of this chapter.
(d) Enforcement of this chapter shall be undertaken by the Manager, Public Works Department, Police Department and the Code Department.
