840.04 INCOME TAX OFFICER.
   The Mayor of the City shall, on the first Monday of January, 1967, and every fourth year thereafter, or as soon thereafter as practical in each of such years, appoint an Income Tax Officer of the Sharon Income Tax Bureau, who shall be a competent accountant. He shall serve for a term of four years from the first Monday of January until his successor is qualified, unless sooner removed according to the method prescribed by law for removal of appointed officers. He shall give lawful bond to the City with two or more sureties, or with a surety or other company authorized by law to act as surety, to be approved in such sum as Council shall, by ordinance, direct, conditioned on the faithful performance of his official duties. Vacancies in such office shall be filled by the Mayor for the unexpired term.
