668.01 SIDEWALKS TO BE KEPT CLEAR.
   No person owning or occupying any lot or premises bounding on, abutting or adjacent to any sidewalk of the City shall permit or suffer that portion of the sidewalk which is situated in front of or which abuts on his lots or premises to become or remain encumbered with snow, ice or sleet which in any manner obstructs the free, common and convenient use of such sidewalk. It shall be the duty of the respective owner, agent or lessee of such lot or premises, immediately after the fall of any snow, to cause the same to be removed from the sidewalks of his premises and also to keep the same free and clear from snow or other substances and open to convenient use of the residents of the City.
