208.04 LOST CONVEYANCES; PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY WILL OR DESCENT.
   In the case of a conveyance that is lost, but recorded, it shall be the duty of the owner to present for registration a duly certified copy of the record of such conveyance. In the case of a conveyance that is lost and unrecorded, it shall be the duty of the owner to furnish for registration a correct description of the property supported by affidavit of the owner or some person for him. Where an owner takes by will, it shall be his duty to furnish for registration a certified copy of the will with a description of the property. When title is taken by descent, it shall be the duty of the owner to furnish a description of the property, the name of the decedent, the date of his death and the next of kin, supported by an affidavit of the owner or someone for him.
