8-3-4: RATES AND CHARGES ESTABLISHED 1 :
There shall be and there are hereby established rates and charges for the use of and for services supplied by the combined water and sewerage system of the Village, such rates and charges being established as follows:
   A.   Water Service Charges:
      1.   Effective January 1, 2018 there shall be and there is hereby established a basic user charge for the use and for service supplied by the water system of the Village as follows:

   B.   Sewerage Service Charge:
      1.   Basic User Charge: Effective February 4, 2014, there shall be and there is hereby established a basic user charge for the use and for service supplied by the sewerage system of the Village as follows:

      2.   Surcharges:
         a.   Established: There shall be and there are hereby established rates of surcharges for BOD5 and SS as follows:

For SS
0.07 per pound
 
         b.   Computation: The concentration of wastes used for computing surcharges shall be established by waste sampling. Waste sampling shall be performed as often as may be deemed necessary by the Superintendent and shall be binding as a basis for surcharges. Surcharges shall be computed by the following formula:

   C.   Discontinuation And Restoration Of Service Charge: There is hereby established a charge of twenty five dollars ($25.00) for any discontinuation or restoration of service.
   D.   Deposit: There is hereby established a deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) for all new water and/or sewer services. The deposit shall be refunded upon discontinuation of service on the condition that the account is in good standing. (Ord. 290, 9-4-2001)
