8-1-4: DAMAGE TO, TAMPERING WITH SYSTEM:
No person shall wilfully or carelessly break, injure, mar, deface, interfere with or disturb the waterworks plant or fixtures, or any building, machinery, apparatus, reservoirs, water tower or appurtenances of the waterworks of the village, or any public or private hydrant, meter or stopcock box, shutoff valve, or shutoff valve box, water supply or service pipe, or any part thereof; nor shall any person deposit anything in any stopcock box or shutoff valve box or commit any act tending to obstruct or impair the intended use of any of the above mentioned things without the permission of the superintendent of public works, or except in the cases provided in this chapter.
