6-7-2: LIGHTS AND SIGNAL LAMPS:
   A.   Lights: It shall be unlawful to operate or park on any street any vehicle not equipped with adequate lights conforming to the requirements of state law; provided, that vehicles may be parked at nighttime without lights on any street or portion thereof designated by ordinance as a place where vehicles may so park at nighttime.
   B.   Signal Lamps: Any motor vehicle in use on a highway shall be equipped with, and required signals shall be given by, a signal lamp or lamps or mechanical signal device when the distance from the center of the top of the steering post to the left outside limit of the body, cab or load of such motor vehicle exceeds twenty four inches (24"), or when the distance from the center of the top of the steering post to the rear limit of the body or load thereof exceeds fourteen feet (14'). The latter measurement shall apply to any single vehicle, also to any combination of vehicles. (Ord. 88, 11-6-1962)
