1411.17 ELECTRICAL FACILITIES REQUIRED.
   (a)   Every dwelling structure, and every newly constructed or substantially renovated garage, pool house, or other enclosed secondary or appurtenant structure that is 200 square feet or larger in size, shall be provided with electrical service, and at least one receptacle outlet and one lighting outlet, which shall be installed and maintained in compliance with all local, state and national electrical and building codes, and so as to be free of any potential source of ignition of combustible material or any potential source of electrical hazard. Such facilities shall be adequate to supply the requirements of lighting, appliances and equipment of the structure concerned.
   (b)   In every existing garage, pool house, or other enclosed secondary or appurtenant structure that has electrical service, or any such existing structure in which electrical service is installed, such service shall be maintained and shall not be permanently disconnected. The electrical service for such structure shall be installed and maintained as set forth in subsection (a) hereof. If such service has been disconnected, it shall be reconnected.
